Cast on 34 stitches using your favorite cast-on method.
Knit four rows (garter stitch edge).
Row 1: K3, [LC, RC] rep bet brackets to last 3 st, k3
Row 2: K3, p to last 3 st, k3
Repeat rows 1 and 2 until swatch measures 4.5 in/11.25 cm from cast-on edge.
Knit four rows (garter stitch edge).
Bind off on the next row in knit.
Wet-block your swatch and pin flat until dry.

LC - Place one stitch on cable needle and hold to front. Knit the next stitch, then knit the stitch from cable needle (left leaning 2-stitch cable)
